I work at an office that does journalism research and the back page of our survey for recent journalism program grads is a blank slate for their advice. This is the best bit I’ve gotten from them thus far.
Dear Family,
I wish I had the chance to meet you. Mom says you were pretty handsome. We’re not even sure if you died or are still alive. At least I hope the two of you, my fourth and fifth uncles, found each other. Is it possible to miss someone who you’ve never met? Mommy misses you ever day.
