I'm pale and mild; a modern girl
I was at a dinner a few students from the journalism school were invited to attend with faculty and industry professionals when everyone’s phones started lighting up. Smoke from an air conditioner in the University’s Fine Arts building had triggered the fire alarms, evacuating a play in progress and alerting fire and police officials. Networking dinners with journalists are great, but it’s the best when you all rush to the scene to cover spot news.
Grants for grands?
All I want to do is special topic documentary photography and journalism by immersing myself in communities at a relevant political/cultural/environmental crux.

Does Toronto have the best airport ever?
Or am I just a sucker for minimalist design and free Wi-Fi?
So far I took an airport shuttle with a sassy UGA journalism school grad meeting her boyfriend who was getting back from a tour in Europe with his metal band and sat next to an older woman who put dinosaurs all over her brother’s front lawn for his 60th birthday and insisted I eat at the McDonald’s in Paris because it was delicious. Hopefully more characters are in store for me.

I work at an office that does journalism research and the back page of our survey for recent journalism program grads is a blank slate for their advice. This is the best bit I’ve gotten from them thus far.
