There are so many stores with incredible colorful, geometric clothing, all the architecture and furniture looks like a scene from The Jetsons and there’s techno playing everywhere. I definitely don’t mind it, but people are not nearly as boisterous in this airport as they were in Toronto. In fact, I’ve never been in a quieter public place, it’s nearly silent. Y’all, is Europe ready for my loud mouth and hand talking? 

Also, Danish looks like the language the Sims speak… 

Or am I just a sucker for minimalist design and free Wi-Fi? 

So far I took an airport shuttle with a sassy UGA journalism school grad meeting her boyfriend who was getting back from a tour in Europe with his metal band and sat next to an older woman who put dinosaurs all over her brother’s front lawn for his 60th birthday and insisted I eat at the McDonald’s in Paris because it was delicious. Hopefully more characters are in store for me.
