Alex knew the family we stayed with in Paris from an exchange one of her sisters did with one of their sisters and the entire lot of them were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They were so kind and generous to us and I hope we adequately expressed our appreciation. Our last full day there was a brunch celebration for Mother’s Day (different day in France), the departure of one of the brothers on a trip and the birthday of another brother. Pain du chocolat is good, but it’s much better when homemade by a Parisian family.
